ReGain Health
If your getting clobbered and you just cant seem to survive long enough. Then try this, during gameplay If you are loosing strength and die up early then probably use the following instructions to quickly regain the health and power.
press and hold X, Y and B.
If done correctly your health will charge up.
Clear Halt Screen
As with many different DC game titles, To get rid of halt message press X and Y at your pause screen.
NHL 2K2 Cheats
Misspelled names:
The names of players not in the NHL that are on international teams are misspelled. For example, go to “Roster” and select “Finland”. “Antti Eeltu” should be “Antti Aalto”. It is possible that Sega did not have a license from the other leagues or the Olympics to use their real names. Note: Only vowels are changed.
Easy goals:
Pass the puck to a fast shooter and check which hand he is using. If he is right-handed, go to the right side of the rink and vice versa. Then, go around the net and immediately when you get to the edge of the post quickly tap X. If done correctly, the puck should go straight through the goalies legs almost every time. Note: This may take some practice. Also, it is more difficult to perform at the higher skill level.
Play against Carolina with Irbe in net or create a bad goaltender and it will be easy to score on him from far away.
Best fighters:
The best fighters are Rob Ray of the Buffalo Sabres and Zdeno Chara of the Senators.
Better celebrations:
Go to overtime with a team and score a goal. The celebrations are different then the original ones. Also, the more overtime periods you play, the better the celebrations get.
Go through the boards:
When a team is making a line change, go along the boards by the opponents bench. If a player attempts to hit you and misses, this player may go right through the boards and into the bench. The player also can get out of the bench without climbing over, and will go through the boards again. The same thing can happen with your players.

Easy Goal Trick
Go around the goal on the left. Exit around the right. The goalie will follow by putting himself on the right side of the goal. Either shoot or pass to someone on the left. If you pass, shoot right away before the goalie can move.
Black Box team
To get the black box team at the black box title in controller port D hold down L and R and press B,A,B,Y and get the best team in the game.

Fat Code List!!
Is everyone ready for this? Ok, a little explanation is definitely required for this. During VS. MODE at the screen where the two teams helmets are displayed and the little NFL shield icons are placed just beneath the helmet. These icons are what you change to enter the code. Got that part? Good, from my experience this screen doesnt stay for too long so you have to know the code before you try to enter it. Dont try to read the code and then enter it at this screen, for it will automatically cycle to the game after about 10 seconds. Under each helmet are three NFL shield icons, the icon on the left is by hitting the L trigger or the R trigger. The icon in the middle is changed by hitting the X button or the A button. The third icon is changed by hitting the Y button or the B button. Knowing this you can now read the chart below. The numbers are in the same order as the icons. Example: the code for the Kansas City Chiefs playbook is 1-2-5 LEFT. In other words the #1 reflects how many times you must change the LEFT ICON. The #2 reflects how many time you need to change the MIDDLE ICON. And, of course, the #5 reflects how many times you need to change the RIGHT ICON. The actual button combo for this code is L(or R), X(or A), X(or A), Y(or B), Y(or B), Y(or B), Y(or B), Y(or B) then hit Left on your D-pad.

Hidden Plays
While playing a game of Blitz using a VMU you can hide the cursor by going to the top left corner and then by pressing up twice. You can then look down at the VMU screen to see which play you have highlighted even though it is hidden to everyone else!

Turbo
Go to the codes option and put in the name TURBO for a new turbo selection under Game Speed menu
Onside Kick Recovery (hint)
When kicking off, point the arrow all the way low to the ground and in the direction of the opposing player that is direct in front of the kicker. Kick the ball straight and a little more than 3/4 the way up the power meter…This will enable you to recover 50% or more of the time…

Extra Attribute Points
When creating a player, at the attributes screen take all of your points down to zero. Now put them back how you would like them. If done properly you should have 10-11 extra points. (Note: If you put your points up to 100 you will lose 2 points.)
Longer Kick-Off Returns
Select onside return from the playbook. When kicker raises his hand, wait 2 seconds and press Y and then B. Return right for extra yards. This is not a code but I thought it might help someone out.

Change Announcer’s Voice
Go to the codes option and put in the name SQUEEKY for a new announcer voice

Timeout
If playing with more than one player, players 2 -4 have trouble making their own selections such as picking teams or calling timeout. To fix this problem move with joystick first and press A after that you can use either pad or joystick.
A.I. pick your play
To have the system pick your best play you can do, press A 2 times at the play selection screen.
NOTE: It will show you what it is selecting by highlighting the play greyish.This works for both defense and offense.
Sack the Q.B. Every Time
In the options screen, disable penalties for off sides and neutral zone infraction, then start your game as normal. Now, when your on defense, you can line your defensive player up RIGHT BESIDE the quarter back! Guaranteed sack every time.
